Personal data at Betoro

Effective 7 October 2026. Betoro decides why and how personal data is processed for the casino and odds service offered to residents of Denmark, and in that role we are the controller of the data described here. Questions go to [email protected].

What happens to your data when you register

When you open an account, we ask for your name, date of birth, address and email address, and you choose a password. We use these details to create the account, to confirm that you are 18 or over and to contact you about it. Where the law requires identity checks for a gambling operator, we may also ask for an identity document and proof of address, and we use them only to confirm the details you gave and to review withdrawals.

What happens when you deposit or withdraw

We record each deposit and withdrawal in DKK with its date and the method used. The payment provider handles card, wallet and bank details, and we receive the result of the transaction. We keep these records because the law obliges us to keep transaction records, and because they let us answer questions about a payment.

What happens when you write to us

A message to our support address is read by a member of our team, answered and kept together with our reply for as long as the matter needs it. We use it to handle your request and to document how it was handled, and for nothing else, and we do not add it to a marketing list.

What happens when you visit the site

The site receives technical information such as the browser type, the device and the time of the visit. We use it to keep the service running and to detect misuse. Necessary cookies keep you logged in and cannot be switched off without loss of function. Where we use cookies for statistics or settings, the choice is shown on the site, and you can change it later in your browser.

Data used for your protection

When you set a deposit limit, take a break or register in ROFUS, we use the account data to apply the protection exactly as set. We do not use these records for marketing, and we do not pass them to other operators. A registration in ROFUS stops us from sending any marketing to you.

Marketing messages and disputes

We send marketing messages only where the law allows it. Each message explains how to stop receiving them, and we respect a request to stop without asking for a reason. We may keep and use data to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim, for example when a payment is disputed, and our legitimate interest is the ground for that use.

Who receives your data

  • Payment providers receive what is needed to process a payment.
  • Authorities receive data where the law requires us to disclose it.
  • Providers that host or support the site act on our instructions.
  • We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it to decide matters unrelated to your account.

How long we keep it

We keep account data while the account exists and for the period the law requires afterwards. Identity documents are kept for as long as the law requires of a gambling operator and not longer than the purposes above need. When the period ends, we delete the data or make it anonymous. Deleted data can remain for a limited time in backups before it is overwritten.

What you can ask of us

You can ask for a copy of your data, for corrections and, where the law allows, for erasure. You can object to processing that rests on our legitimate interest, ask us to restrict processing, withdraw consent where we rely on it, and ask for the data you gave us in a common format where the law grants that right. We may ask you to prove your identity first, so that data does not reach the wrong person, and we answer without undue delay or tell you why a request cannot be met in full.
If you are not satisfied, you can complain to Datatilsynet, the Danish Data Protection Agency.

Transfers, automated checks and security

Where a provider that supports us processes data outside the European Economic Area, we require a lawful transfer mechanism. Some security and age checks use automated tools, and a member of our team reviews a decision to close an account or hold a withdrawal, which you can ask for. We protect data with technical and organisational measures, and we will inform you and the supervisory authority of a breach where the law requires it.

Accounts, devices and cookies

A cookie is a small file that the browser stores. The cookies that keep you logged in are needed for the account to work, and the others are optional. If you clear them, you may be logged out and asked to make your choice again. We do not combine cookie data with identity documents.

Your choices at a glance

  • Change cookie settings on the site or in your browser at any time.
  • Ask to stop marketing messages with one request.
  • Ask for access, correction or erasure by writing to our support address.
  • Complain to Datatilsynet if our answer does not satisfy you.

Young persons and changes

Betoro is for persons aged 18 or over, and we do not knowingly hold data of minors. When we change this policy, the new version replaces this one and carries a new effective date.
